Base Camp will be holding a short Equality and Diversity Training exploring the importance of equal opportunity policies and what is Equality and Divisity.This will be a short workshop addressing current and legal updates along with exploring the importance of equality and diversity policies. Workshop will start at 10am-12 pm at Tennyson, Partnershipcouncil.Dont miss this opportunity to learn about what equality and diversity is and how to utilise these policies in your projects.

Appointed Persons First Aider Course 22nd Feburary 2011

Saving some life is very important, especially when your working with young children and the vulnerable and the elderly.Why not participate on the Appointed Persons First Aid Course and gain the skills needed to save some one life.Course inludeds the following topics:

The role of the first aider

communicating with a casualty
contents of first aid kits (and avoid cross infection)
recording of incidents and accidents
assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
administer first aid to a casualty who;
- is unconscious
- requires cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- is choking
- is wounded or bleeding
- is in shock
- has minor conditions – to include: minor cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns & scalds, small splinters
